English League Cup Preview: Leeds United vs. Manchester United
After beating Chelsea in a basketball-like game, Manchester United face old adversaries Leeds United in a League Cup fixture this Tuesday.
Leeds have been doing well this season in their bid for promotion to England's top flight. Victories in three out of their last four Championship games show that they are in good form. It is worth noting that in the last fixture between the two sides, Leeds Utd beat Manchester United 1-0 in an FA Cup tie.
Manager Simon Grayson wouldn't be expecting too many miracles from his side when they take on the English Champions. However, if they run their famous opponents close, that would be a step in the right direction for a club that not too long ago was in complete doldrums.
Words fail to describe Manchester United's performances this season. They've blitzed the opposition in the Premier League hammering Arsenal 8-2 and rolling over Chelsea yesterday in what was their worst performance of the season so far.
Such has been the domination of the reigning champions that last season's top scorer Dimitar Berbatov has been on the pitch for a little over 10 minutes this season. Leeds are no rollovers though and Sir Alex Ferguson would definitely have that in mind when he puts out his team on Tuesday.
Where: Elland Road, Leeds
When: Tuesday, 20th September, 2011
